Howdy Partners! The 2023 Roadeo is coming your way on Saturday, April 15!

It's time for Maryland's best drivers to get ready for the toughest driver skills challenge in the country. Our 2023 Roadeo returns to MTA's Dorsey MARC Station located at Dorsey Station Dr in Elkridge, MD 21076; just off Route 100. The competition will begin at 9 AM, end around Noon, and will be followed by a banquet lunch located at the Olive Grove Restaurant (705 N. Hammonds Ferry Road, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090). We will honor our competitors and give our winners a rousing send-off to the CTAA National Roadeo.

Drivers will compete in three separate areas: a driving skills challenge in the form of an obstacle course containing 10 stations, a wheelchair securement test, and a pre-trip inspection. The top three scorers will be given scholarships to attend and compete against the best in the country at the CTAA Roadeo in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 20-21.

Registration Fees

Registration is $125 for the first driver, $100 for the second, and $75 for each additional driver. Registration for each driver covers all the day's activities, including a light breakfast on the Roadeo site and the awards banquet lunch. Customer Service Workshop

Presented by our expert trainer Lynn Berger, TAM is pleasedto present a 1 hour session from 12:45 PM -1:45 PM

The first portion of the session will start with a broad educational component on Customer Service, Dealing with Difficult Passengers, and working through Conflict. Participants will then be challenged to use their knowledge to interactively work with members at their tables to compete for the finish line. This session is suitable for both our volunteers and our driver participants. Beverages and lite fare will be available during the training.

Training Objectives:

  • Define customer service and the 6 key customer service skills
  • Explore difficult personalities and how to work with these traits
  • Define reactions vs. responses
  • Review the Communication rule
  • Practice and put their knowledge to work to apply concepts learned in table/team competition

TAM is proud to bring to our Roadeo our special guest entertainer for the afternoon, Magician Eric Henning!

"Not only a master magician...a master entertainer."
- Centennial Lodge

People often tell Eric that he reminds them of the great magicians of the past.

That's no coincidence, since he has spent more than three decades studying and performing some of the greatest magic in history. While still a student, Eric's love of magic's lore took him to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. More recently, the National Theatre featured his "Turn of the Century" - a Victorian-style show with wonders not seen for a hundred years.

His award-winning blend of wit and wizardry has been seen around the world, from the streets of Paris to the White House, where he has performed for President Obama and the First Family. Add in three Presidential Inaugurals and five other White House appearances, and you have a truly Presidential prestidigitator! Eric will be entertaining our drivers and volunteers during our Roadeo banquet.

Roadeo Handbook

All competitors and volunteers are encouraged to review the Roadeo Handbook and score sheets prior to the event, as some changes have been made in the update.
